Why wax when I can shave every day?

Precisely! You would have to shave every day to get the same smooth finish that waxing gives you for at least 3 weeks.

Doesn’t it hurt though?

I’m not going to lie, if you’ve never been waxed before then certain areas can smart a bit, imagine a sharp slap.  Once you get into the routine of waxing regularly the hair follicles get weaker and weaker and eventually  give up and stop producing  any/very little hair.

What kind of wax do you use?

We only use the best quality waxes for the job.  For larger areas that means a strip wax (the warm wax is applied to your skin, a  paper  ‘strip’  applied and removed with one quick movement), and for  more ‘sensitive’ areas, we use a hot, peelable wax that ‘shrink wraps’ the hairs as it cools .  The wax is then removed in quick movements - no strip required.

Can I shave in between appointments?

Quite simply, No.  You would be defeating the whole object of waxing.  It takes about 4 appointments to get all the hair growing in the same cycle so stick with it!!

If you’re used to waxing then it’s just a couple more strips! If not, why not start off with a straightforward bikini wax, then as you get more comfortable with the procedure move on to a Brazilian.

I’d love a Brazilian, but I’m not sure ..

Do you wax men?

Ladies only.  Sorry chaps.

How long does the hair have to be?

The length of a grain of  rice.  If it’s your first wax after shaving, then make sure you have 4 weeks of growth… and leave the trimming to us!

Questions? Of Course You Have!

Waxing FAQ’s

What shouldn’t I do afterwards?

What should I do beforehand?

I’m really shy, can I keep my knickers on?

If you’re having a bikini or bikini plus, then yes you can (or wear our paper ones),  however, it’s impossible to carry out a Hollywood or Brazilian with your underwear on.  We are completely professional and friendly.  To coin a phrase ‘we’ve seen it all before’.  Really, we have.  To us you’re just a canvas for hair removal!!

Can anybody be waxed?

Pretty much, although there are a few exceptions:

There are certain medications and creams that thin out the skin such as Roaccutane, Retine-A, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, Tazorac Avage, Differin, Strivectin, Renova, Proactive, Avita, benzoyl peroxide & salicylic acid.

Please check with your Doctor if you have ANY doubts whatsoever as the last thing we want you to do is have a wasted trip as we will be unable to carry out the treatment if this is the case.
